19 - 20 April 2018, Lund University School of Economics and Management
Since 2012, The Sten K. Johnson Centre for Entrepreneurship arranges the European Entrepreneurship Education Workshop annually.
The seventh edition of the workshop will be held 19-20 April, 2018 at the Lund University School of Economics and Management.
Thursday 19 April, starting with lunch
Venue: Elite Hotel Ideon
Entrepreneurship research has developed into a quite mature field, and entrepreneurship education has existed in our universities for some decades. Over the last few years, we have seen a new topic emerging within the field of entrepreneurship education: critical entrepreneurship education. But what is critical entrepreneurship education?
During the first part of day one at EEEW 2018 we aim to discuss how we make sense of the concept of critical thinking in the setting of entrepreneurship education.
To create an open and inclusive discussion, our starting point is a keynote lecture on critical thinking: What is critical thinking and which role does critical thinking fulfil?
The keynote is followed by a round-table discussion in which a group of researchers and teachers in the field of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education are invited to participate. They will share with us how they are making sense of the concept of critical thinking in their everyday practice as teachers in entrepreneurship education.
During the second part of day one, we will learn more about how we can use design thinking, and design thinking methods, as a teaching-learning approach in entrepreneurship education.
PhD students will have the opportunity to discuss their research with other workshop participants, including senior researchers in entrepreneurship education, and recipients of the European Entrepreneurship Education Award.
